This Davion dog proved unworthy of death by the blade. One of our more skilled warriors dispatches him quickly and cleanly with a simple twist of the neck, using his katana as a brace.

     The Draconis Combine was founded in 2319 by Shiro Kurita, who used persuasive statesmanship, power brokering, and a war of liberation to forge it from almost nothing.

     Raised in a military and social tradition dating back more than six centuries, Shiro embodied the “Way of the Warrior.” Through his forceful attitude and commanding personality, he became leader of New Samarkand, followed by his gathering together the kings and lords of nearby planets under his banner as the Galedon Alliance. This Alliance, created to oppose the corrupt Ozawa Mercantile alliance, was the starting point for bringing dozens more planets under his benevolant rule. By 2319, Shiro Kurita controlled a domain stretching from the border of the Federated Suns to the Principality of Rasalhague, the realm we know today as the Draconis Combine.

     Shiro Kurita’s legacy continues to this day, in both the devotion to the "Way of the Warrior" and in the belief that one day House Kurita will bring all mankind into it's enlightened society. The Draconis Combine’s combination of honorable military tradition and a self-reliance is the envy of many foreign powers, and the reason for the continued need of vigilance against our many enemies.
